How to Check Custom Tracking Templates and Other Trackers in Google Ads
If you need to check if you have any custom tracking parameters, you can do so in your Google Ads account, based on the level you originally installed it on (account, campaign, or ad level).
Checking the tracking template on the account level
- In your Google Ads account, click the Admin icon
- Click Account settings
- Click on Tracking
- You should have ClickGuard's tracking template and Final URL suffix there, which is required for the system to log all paid ad clicks

Checking the tracking template on the campaign level
- In your Google Ads account, click the Campaigns icon
- Click the Campaigns drop-down in the section menu
- Click Campaigns
- Click on the Edit settings icon when it appears next to the campaign name
- Scroll down to Campaign URL options
- If you have anything set there, remove the parameters from the Tracking template field and move them to the Final URL suffix field by removing {lpurl}? part and then moving everything after that to the Final URL suffix so that ClickGuard's tracking template on the account-level can work seamlessly.
- Click Save
